Dr. Howard Anthony Rose is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedics and performs the latest arthroscopic procedures for rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stabilizations, anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions, and meniscal repairs. He also performs joint replacements of the hip and knee using minimally invasive techniques. He is currently an Assistant Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Rose received his undergraduate BA degree cum laude from Harvard College, where he played ice hockey. He completed his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston and his orthopedic residency at Hospital for Special Surgery. He is fellowship trained in both Sports Medicine and Adult Reconstruction (joint replacement) from Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and is a former assistant Team Physician for Harvard University Athletics, Long Island Rough Riders professional soccer club, and Brooklyn College.

Dr. Rose is an active member of many organizations and has authored numerous peer review articles. He has an additional office in Long Island.

This includes surgical procedures such as, total knee and hip replacement and arthroscopic knee surgery. You will be able to access the written information that I give to my patients based on their individual needs. Directions to The Pavilion

My office is located at The Pavilion, 541 East 71st Street. The main entrance to The Pavilion is on the north side of 71st Street underneath the sky bridge that connects the main hospital to the Belaire Building.
